Mine works well in many ways. However, it only transmits basic keyboard commands. Caps lock, number lock, scroll lock and special function keys (e.g. volume) do not work. I have tried several keyboards, borrowed and replacements. When connected directly to the PC, everything worked perfectly. When I plug them into the switch, those features stop working. TESmart helped me connect a powered USB hub to the switch and a keyboard to the USB hub. (Note that the use of such a hub is shown in the setup video on the TESmart website. I assume it's there because a lot of people have my problem). This workaround fixed the numeric locks issue but disabled the multimedia keys and hotkey. switch. It seemed that no matter how I connected it, something wasn't working. I had to decide which keyboard features I wanted to sacrifice. Tried many keyboards. I see there are several other reviews criticizing the lack of keyboard features. I think they are right. If you like the Caps Lock and Num Lock indicators, as well as multimedia keys and the ability to switch between cars, you will be very disappointed with this switch.
