This worked for a little over a year. Then he started bending around corners. I spent hours re-reading the manual, trying different settings, and fiddling with everything. Many people have the same story on forums, YouTube videos and other websites. The funny thing is that the number of drills I successfully sharpen in a year is roughly the cost of the machine. Therefore I regret the purchase and recommend that you do not make the same mistake as me. The problem is that there is absolutely NOTHING accurate about this product. The plastic is very loose right from the start and the whole mechanism wobbles. Over time it will wear and chip and get worse to the point where it just messes up your drill bits and you have to start over on a bench grinder. You would think that they could at least cover some components due to the high price of this tool, but no. Leave it in a humid environment for a few days and some parts will begin to rust. Many components of this machine had to be made from aluminum blocks. This company is inefficient and doesn't care about the cost, if you look at some of their other "professional" machines they start at 4000 and go up. Since when does a drill grinder cost as much as a milling machine or a lathe? This is where it gets fun. The only positive that came from spending hours sharpening bits, reading the manual, and checking all the possible settings on the machine was that I learned at least a little more about drill angles. Out of frustration and need, I decided to give up and just sharpen one of the large drill bits I had on my belt sander by hand. When I tried it for the very first time, I was done after 2-3 minutes adjusting the angles and observing. I tried my own drill and it cut through steel like butter better than even the first day I sharpened drills with a brand new drill doctor when I thought it was amazing. Now I feel even more betrayed by this garbage product than ever before. Too bad I can't return. Overall, based on everything I've seen inside and out of this machine, I'd say this is a $40-$50 product at best IF it works.
