I ordered this usb extender for work. I usually work on two laptops, one mine and one my employer's. I have a Mac and another PC, and there are just a few tasks that I feel more comfortable doing on my Mac while others are better suited to the PC. The biggest problem is that I can't exchange files between them and it's a hassle to email myself. The problem I have with the USB is that I only have two on each machine, actually one is behind the mouse and one of the two is behind so not easy to access. This extender is a great solution when I'm at the limit. I can always plug it in and everything works! It can be cycled off and on so you don't have to power unused drives, and my mouse works great when connected to it too. This freed up the drives to charge my phone or headset, which really stressed me out. It's a bargain too.
