Okay, first of all. These lamps are really bright and look beautiful. The box with the battery closes tightly, everything is fine. Until you put them in and after five days they start to fade. On the seventh or eighth day, they hardly glow at all. Not cool! I used Energizer Ultimate Lithium AA batteries, the best batteries I could find. I made sure to buy the most powerful and long lasting batteries as the light filament is used with the Christmas wreath hanging outside the second floor window. So it's not that easy to get there. What's good about Christmas lights that stay on for less than a week? I should have known they would be TERRIBLE since they were made in China.
