Review on Ethernet Adapter Gigabit Compatible Thunderbolt by Emily Mason

I have an HP 15-DY1XXX laptop with no Ethernet port. The device has 2 USB 3.0 ports and 1 USB-C port. I need this adapter so I can connect to a wired ethernet instead of WIFI. It looks good, feels sturdy and appears to be good value for the money. However, I couldn't get it to work. I kept getting an unidentified network and the assigned IP address was 169.xxx. This could very well be due to the configuration of my computer, I don't know. I downloaded the drivers from Realtek but that didn't solve the problem. There's a good chance this will work for you. The price is reasonable for a test drive. If it doesn't work, you can always buy another one. Added - This adapter does not have a MAC address. I believe if a MAC address is assigned this might work.
