Review on Moen DN9124BN Ellsworth 24-Inch Single Towel Bar: Stylish Brushed Nickel Bathroom Accessory by Jessica Prive

Simple high quality towel rail

This is a high quality towel rail that holds towels well. My boyfriend and I chose 24" because 18" doesn't seem wide enough to fully dry a bath towel. The only downside to the 24" bar is that most homes don't like 18" rack placement, so we had to mount one side in a rack and the other in drywall. The rod set includes drywall anchors, but I had a hard time getting them to work. I drilled a hole per the instructions and inserted the anchor, but the anchor kept pushing through the hole and into the wall when I tried to insert the screw. I'm no jack of all trades, but I suspect a slightly smaller hole would have done the trick. Luckily I had a pack of drywall screw anchors from a previous project that I used instead. We've also found that if you don't place the towel correctly, or maybe even if you do, the rod will rotate in the middle and make a metallic rattle when you pull the towel off. I'm sure you could glue it in place or something if that bothers you, but we're used to that.
