Review on Eagle 935 FLY Polyethylene Safety Capacity by Jared Barit

Ideal for storing melted ice in the winter

During the winter I used melted ice and a white plastic bucket of salt as a storage container while in use. The problem with this approach is that the lid of the bucket is difficult to pry open with gloves and it's 10 degrees outside. I bought this Eagle trash can after seeing it being used for melting ice where I work. They use a lot more salt than I do at home, but I appreciated the ease of opening with one foot to access the salt. The bucket arrived in great condition and the included 'oiled rags' warning sticker was easy to remove for my use. I've found that the 5 gallon bucket that contains my ice melt fits completely (with the snap lid removed) in this 10 gallon trash can, with the snap lid set out of the way in the trash can for later use. It worked even better than expected. At the end of the season, I took the ice melting bucket out of the container and snapped the lid back on to keep the moisture in the air from being absorbed by the salt.
