I ordered this flexible oxo lathe to replace a broken one. Separated from the rotating part at the broken handle. I was surprised to see how little of the metal handle went into the spatula; no wonder it fell apart. It is probably done this way because the turned part is very thin. Although the one we had broke, I ordered another one because I like its flexibility and thinness. It's really easy to slip under almost any food (cookies, eggs sunny side up, etc.). However, note that it is made of nylon, so it cannot withstand temperatures above 400 degrees.
