Yes, expensive. But it works fine for our use case. Parquet floors, lots of dog hair. It is excellent at navigating space and picking up almost all of the dog's fur. The battery lasts a long time. A. And did I mention that it's very quiet compared to other robot vacuums? The app has definitely become unstable, but Miele is clearly investing money and time into improving functionality. This is significantly better than September 2018. I had trouble pairing the vacuum with the app but being tech savvy I finally figured it out. I suspect Miele has already fixed many of these shortcomings given how much better the app and firmware are now. I would buy it again. If you're looking for a great robot vacuum that's QUIET, can handle a lot of pet hair (think a few heavy-shedding dogs that live year-round), and has great battery life, then this is it for her. It is excellent at dodging obstacles. But we don't have a particularly difficult ground environment to navigate. If I had any Miele suggestions - it would be nice if there was an open API integration or HomeKit/etc to better integrate this with smart homes. Miele has a great brand reputation and this vacuum cleaner does it proud, albeit at a significantly higher price point than most of its competitors. I would recommend this to anyone willing to spend more to get a QUIET, quality vacuum that just works for the most part.
