I have 3 of these lights in my system but one of the power cords melted the other day. Speaking of which, maybe this led to the next part and why I gave my replacement unit 1 star. My other devices came with a special power cable that had a pair parallel to the pair on the main SATA power harness that went to a connector on the device to turn on the activity lights. Now the activity lights are only connected with a cable that you need to connect to the motherboard. How many HDD activity LEDs do you think I should have on my motherboard to actually have a connector when buying a bayless hot swap drive bay? Maybe those old power cords melted badly, but my existing equipment has been in service for about 5 years. In any case, I'm not happy with this as the activity indicators will never work.
