Review on πŸ”‘ Wireless Keyless Entry Keypad for Garage Door - Compatible with Chamberlain, LiftMaster, Craftsman, Genie, Linear, and More - Control up to 2 Doors with One Keypad - Gray by Joe Olson

It works with my Genie model H8000-07

Instructions are a bit confusing. I followed TYPE 1. I pressed * and # at the same time to enter programming mode. I entered 1# (channel 1), 05# (genius code found in the instructions). Then I pressed the garage door opener button and dialed 1111#. The keyboard will blink three times to let you know it's working. 1111 now opens the door. Then I followed the instructions on page 2 to change the existing PIN to my own code. For the second channel you need to use 2# and 2222#. It looks pretty cheap but looks and works well. The screws that come with it are junk. I recommend using your own screws. One thing I found annoying when setting up and testing codes: If you enter the wrong code 3 times, the keyboard will be disabled for 2 minutes. I pulled the battery instead of waiting. When it started I thought it was a malfunction. I could have bought a Genie keyboard for the same price, but I didn't need a white keyboard.

Pros
  • Easy install
Cons
  • Slightly torn
