I use a couple of these pins to hold the alternator handle in place. Once the handle is attached and secured with two of these pins (one on each side of the two-legged handle), I can easily move the generator by lifting the handle. The generator's large wheels make pushing or pulling the handle a breeze, and these pins are more than strong enough to withstand the force. I searched hardware stores for a better pin - or even one that would even fit - and couldn't find anything better for my application than this pin. I recommend it.
