
So the part itself is fine. There is no cord length and you will mess up your alarm or fail to open it with the handle. It all depends on the length of the cable. You can use your old cable if it's in good condition. It wasn't mine. Here's how to fix it: after installing your device, leave the cable loose and slack. Take 2 zip ties and tie them as tight as you can under the ball at the end of the rope. Cut off the excess end of the plastic zipper. Insert the entire zipper ball you created into the tab. Voila. Your cable is now the correct length. So far there have been no problems with the alarm and the handle opens it much easier than before.
