First I bought it to have an external monitor for my 16 inch MBP. It comes with a USB-C connector capable of delivering up to 90W of power! Plug and play, no problem. Picture quality is solid, even if the monitor isn't quite HiDPI - this is probably one of the best panels you can buy until external monitors with extremely high pixel densities become available. etc. is that as opposed to a dual monitor configuration where you use a single (smaller) screen, you have to share that monitor's huge widescreen format or share a single application, which somehow causes it to appear to people on the other end doesn't scale well. Hopefully one day screen sharing apps will allow you to split screen space to get around this. I don't really see this as a limitation of the monitor itself. I was hoping to buy a monitor that supports Freesync/Gsync protocols, but this isn't a deal breaker for me because I was expecting to use it with my MBP and now I spend a lot more time working and coding than playing. The speakers sound reasonable for built-in speakers, but for some reason my MBP can't control their volume over USB-C. My other devices can control them, but via HDMI. The volume can be adjusted on the monitor itself, but is clumsy. Otherwise, connectivity is pretty good, with support for all major connections (HDMI, DP, etc.). The box in which they are transported is well assembled. I highly recommend keeping the box for future shipping. I ended up using it to work from other locations during the pandemic, which made the built-in speakers a plus (one less thing). You need to be careful when packing and unpacking as the screen is easily damaged or dirty due to the rather thin frame. Use the mount as shown in the unpacking guide and do the same in reverse when packing it back. My dad rightly said don't skimp on the monitor - it's the highest bandwidth interface. between you and the car. He was right, and while this monitor is a lot more expensive than dual monitors, it excels at that and has some nice features to boot; so 4/5 stars for value/$ at current price, 3/5 at original price of $750. I think a 5 star price would be somewhere between $500-$550.
