Well, for $22 you won't find anything better than this optical drive. My last Asus DVD-RW died after 4 years of continuous use so I went ahead and ordered this (OEM) Asus DVD-RW Optical. He worked for 20 days and then he started playing. I called Revain and explained why the new Asus DVD-RW I bought was no longer working, fully expecting that I would have to return the $19.50 DVD-RW, which wasn't worth my time was to send them back. Reveal activated! When (Asus won't!) and they sent me a replacement drive that works great. Thank you to the Revain sales people and engineers for getting me a new disc without having to send them the original. It was customer service that went above and beyond the call of duty, which is why I mainly shop on the Amazon online store. Best regards Steven Level, I was thinking about buying a Plextor but the reviews are pretty bad for the 3 devices I've read reviews on and the price was double the Asus. or near it.
