Review on 🚗 Borla S-Type 40842S Performance Muffler by Kirt Phillips

Not as loud as I had hoped. The sound is pleasant, I just hoped it would be louder. I suspect if I had a cat back system it would be louder because it removes the resonators. I think I can always try removing them, but I'm afraid it will change the sound. I like the sound, just wish it was louder. Hopefully it will increase over time. I couldn't justify spending $1,150 on a cat back system when I could get a similar sound for only $160. The tube is also slightly smaller than my standard Silverado tube. In general I'm happy. No drone either. I asked the muffler to remove the damper valve. I still haven't heard a hum. I know there is a Diablo Sport Intune 3 tuner that removes DOD. So my V8 engine no longer has V4 mode, but it didn't hum in V4 mode either.
