I installed them professionally as I don't have a welder. I mounted them to the headers and welded them to the Y-pipe. The ones I received look different than the photo, look better. They have a pleasant throaty sound. I bought them to replace a well known brand that failed twice (the substrate was lost). They didn't reduce the car's performance. They appear to be of very good quality.
