Only made it a little over two years before it fell apart. The shaft popped out of the top case and I can't find any reference to a clip described by another reviewer with a similar malfunction. I probably use three times as much pepper as most people, so that was a decent use. The deducted stars reflect what I believe is a short life. I liked this product because of the handle and the ceramic grinder at a very good price. The lid comes in handy as it reduces pepper dust splattering and can be used to store a small amount of ground pepper. The door is not very large or wide, so a small to medium sized hopper should be used for filling.2. It used to annoy me how many times I had to fill my old nine inch high pepper grinder and the chamber for this product is only about three inches high and the chamber shape is a cone that tapers towards the top. The door will not close when the chamber is full. It is necessary to leave some space to allow the door to close and some of the contents to move.4. The dimensions of a pepper grinder or spice grinder are basically useless except when trying to decide where they fit. In the manufacturer's product descriptions, you must specify the volume of the chamber. I estimate this holds just under 1/4 cup. Prime Day is only five days away, but since this is the product I want, it probably won't be offered.
