After the pandemic I was unable to use my local laser cutter workstation. Laser cutting acrylic produces very smooth lines, but I was also a little concerned about burning through the plastic more than necessary. Add these concerns and CNC cutting at home becomes the obvious alternative. I thought $40 was a lot for a cutting attachment, but so far it's working really well. After sanding, you get even, crystal-clear edges. Likewise. It was only on the second or third use that the racket accidentally fell on the cement floor. I don't think the cutting side touched the ground but in most cases it would have broken the carbide bit. I picked it up and it looked completely normal! I can't say for sure if I support tempering amana's rainbow tool, but if so, it definitely worked.
