The best and cheapest way to filter water from water. The company makes a quality filter that will remove the worst of things (lead is my biggest concern). If you can't pay more than $200 for a home filtration system and don't want to fret about the installation, then take my advice! Buy this 6 cup filter and another 10 cup filter or a larger 22(?) original 6 cup jug to first filter sediment and nasty stuff out of your water and then filter again a second, larger system. This is because ZeroWater recommends changing the filter when the ppm test reaches 0.006, but you can exceed that limit with the original 6-cup glass filter because you have a secondary filter that removes significantly less debris before he reaches 0.006. . You then buy a new filter for your larger primary system and use the old one to filter out the 6-cup filter, throwing away only one filter (the original 6-cup filter). Rinse, repeat and save. I know it seems like a hassle but it will save you a lot of money on replacement filters as you only need to replace 1 filter 4-6 months past the company recommended replacement time. AND NOT MY ORIGINAL** I use this system and swear by it. It's nice to know that I'm doing everything within my budget to avoid drinking heavy metals that can damage your organs over time.
