So thankful I bought this before we got our daughter a dwarf hamster for Christmas! I really don't know how we would let her play with Cracker (hamster) without him. I wouldn't leave it there unattended for any length of time in case it gnaws through. The environment is ideal for a child, a hamster and several accessories. I would say it is almost necessary! After they play, I just shake off any little poop balls in the corner, throw them in the trash, and wipe them down with a sanitizing wipe a few times. I could never get it back into a small circle, but I can easily get it back into a flat rectangle. I like that it's not a net so he can't climb it. That's great!
