Cookware didn't impress me

For context I have a gas range (if that matters) - Initially I was quite happy with pans. I had never owned a set of ceramic pans, so I was very excited to try them for their light weight and supposedly amazing non-stick properties. Fast forward 3 months later and things have been going downhill. The main pan I use is a 12 inch pan. Probably use it about 3-4 times a week. Not sure if this is "heavy" use or not, but in any case the pan is starting to wear out badly and is no longer "non-stick". At first I was very careful not to use abrasive cleaners to clean the pans (just a soft sponge to wipe them down) but now things are sticking so much that even rubbing with a Brillo cloth didn't help, give them one last try to clean (see picture) . I think maybe you should just use it for frying eggs and sautΓ©ing veggies? I use a 10" pan for this and it still looks ok. But to me, a pan that doesn't sear chicken breasts is useless. Overall this is a very nice and light pan, but not as strong. The price didn't convince me. I've had cheaper pans that worked better than these. If you are looking for kitchen decoration they are great but not so good for everyday cooking in my experience. hot, even halfway through - the shiny metal base is either scratched or somehow rubbed down on my oven rack, which is annoying

Cons
  • too boring
