Review on πŸ”— Medium Gladiator Cargo Net - Heavy-Duty Truck Cargo Net (MGN-100) - 6.75' x 8' ft. by Patrick Mccall

Super durable, suitable for lifting.

When you need a heavy duty cargo net look no further. I needed something that could carry weight, like a sling (not just something to throw a load), with multiple attachment points. The power handling/capacity wasn't specified, and there aren't many mentions of this use case in questions or reviews. My crazy idea was basically trying to transport firewood on camping trips without taking up bed space. I wanted to be able to access my gear while in bed without moving firewood out of the way. It fit the picture and worked perfectly. Used it to hold what should have been at least 200 pounds of small/medium logs hanging from my roof rack under my tent. The center grille held up very well, with no noticeable damage after a long weekend of anything from freeway speeds. , vigorous driving on dirt roads, in rain and snow. The fact that the straps/net didn't extend all the way was perfect; I was able to use about 40 5/16 spring links (spring hooks/karabiners used on chains) to wrap the pipe around my rack and lock the two loops together. There are also four tab eyelets a few squares inward from each of the four corners; I used a couple of ratchet straps zig zag under the net to take up any slack and keep it from rubbing against my trunk throughout the ride. Next time I'll put a 3.5 x 5 foot piece of plywood or OSB under the tree for easier loading, to avoid snagging the net, and for easier tying down to avoid sagging. Overall though, it worked flawlessly and was a great rough sketch for my firewood solution. My truck has RamBox storage, which makes it about a step wide in the box, a little over 4 feet. Length 6 feet 4 inches. I chose a 6.75 x 8 foot net to account for the amount of sag/storage and that size was perfect for my needs. I don't even know they came with my order so I'll just write them off as a freebie. They are strong enough but they are very short and are camlocks only, NOT a ratchet. All in all I would buy it again and recommend it to anyone looking for a similar solution.
