This product replaced another battery operated movement which failed after a few years. It fitted the exact spot on my watch that the previous mechanism occupied. The shaft length was slightly longer by about 2mm. The original hands on my watch did not fit the change shaft so I used the watch hands that came with the new product. These hands were slightly larger than the original hands but looked good on old watches. It is very important that you measure the shank length of an old watch before purchasing a new watch power supply as there are many options that will fit the bore of an old watch but do not have the correct shank length. The clock has been working for 3 days and has not lost or added time since installation. After a few months the watch stopped showing accurate time, I changed the battery and it was still losing about 5 minutes a day. This prompted me to change my rating from 5 stars to 1 star. A few days later I examined the watch and noticed that the very tip of the minute hand appeared to be rubbing against the watch's clear plexiglass cover. I opened the watch but couldn't undo the screw on the hour hand cover to see why the minute hand had shifted, so I just bent the minute hand down. The watch has been running for several months now without any loss of time, so I have upgraded my rating to 4 stars. Given the price, I would buy this item again.
