Beautiful colors, effective drying as advertised and more. Love it.

I'm viewing: CAS AlkydPro Fast Drying Oil Colours. COLOURS: 1. Pyrrole red light2. ultramarine blue1. Pyrrole red light is similar to cadmium light. Some say there are shades of pink in some Pyrrole Red Light colors. Maybe because of the bright color of red after adding white. Not here. The result of using the ingredients used here is, in my opinion, a very pure red that is slightly less opaque and more orange than cadmium red. Pyrrole red is very lightfast, intense and makes a good base red, so I gladly took the next good base blue. Ultramarine is a deep blue pigment, originally made by grinding lapis lazuli into a powder. The name comes from the Latin word for "under water". I've been asked in the past to choose this particular color for my blue. I used these two colors as the basis for my set of primary colors that mix well. Although there are nicer colors of this brand and type that I have seen myself, I mixed ultramarine and pyrrole red. make purple and even more blue-violet. I love purple, which is a chickpea-sized amount of thick tube paint mixed with a spatula with more red than blue. I still can't figure out how to paint with real oils because I have to learn not to get dirty. :=) I was hoping to do an essay on a 4x4 canvas, and i will do it. So here I am showing beautiful colors straight from the tube (dark red and dark blue patterns) as well as the interplay of two colors I have created. linseed oil and odorless white spirit), as well as the thickness of the tube, as well as scraping and spatula mixtures. Putty drying time was probably up to 20 hours which is what I was expecting as this is a faint mark. I thought this might mimic a well blended and thin spot on the canvas as I don't have a proper brush cleaning setting yet. The drying time of mixed paints with a spatula and paints from the tube was of course more significant, but by no means unreasonable. They are very thick, as can be seen from the sheen. I will definitely take advantage of that. I am very surprised, that those thick puddles of paint dried in less than two days. That's the beauty as well as quality and color. So far I have used these water based paints and oil paint about 10 years ago. I mixed this water based paint with linseed oil and it took years to dry. Oh my. Now I see that there is a special environment for this kind of color. live and learn Too bad because it was a good painting for my first real oil painting, my teacher was impressed and I had planned to paint with these CAS AlkydPro fast drying colors before but I still have to learn how to work with them. dirty oils For this purpose the color of these paints is quite light and I could choose another red color to mix with ultramarine but this big tube will do. I did a similar color mixing with watercolors after my art teacher Mary Ann insisted that we make color charts and learn how to mix colors from just the primary colors and a few others. I love the way they blend and I love the speed. Dry naturally. I am impressed with these oils as I can now work without the smell of turpentine which required some research and my small and humble paintings do not dry as thick as I would like.
