The parking brake was repaired superbly when I moved the rear wheels back a few inches and added suspension travel. There were only two things I had to deal with. My rear drum brakes are smaller than regular ones so I had to trim the spring to fit them. When installing the brake, I then had to make a new adapter because I wanted to use my factory handbrake and had to use clamps to tension the cable and clamp the steel cables. (I had to do this a few times to get it tight enough after pre-tensioning the cable to engage the brakes about halfway.) They seem to be of pretty good quality. I used a hiem connector to connect to my factory button and a threaded rod fits the terminal block and hiem connector. I had to buy a good quality threaded rod to make the connection. If you're not sure, have someone make the connection by welding a locking nut on the end and be sure to put the nuts on to secure the rod to the clamp block and pivot. I think if you need a good working parking brake to replace old lines or for a custom application, measure the size you need and install it and you should be happy.
