Helps with video recording, especially when you are shooting in the studio. You no longer have to worry about changing the battery. But if you want to use it for photography, don't buy it. Some notable cons of the product: 1. Difficult to close the battery cover with the cage. I just left it open when using it to make sure nothing was compressed. You will have trouble taking photos. The voltage generated is NOT SUFFICIENT for the correct operation of the roller shutter. And the camera turns off when you take a picture with it.
