Review on Swagtron K6 Toddler Scooter: Convertible 4-in-1 Ride-On Balance Trike & Training Bike - Next-Gen Mobility for Kids by Fred Meeks

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Cheap fun. Terrible customer service.

At first we wanted to like it. Our two year old loved it and rode it often while learning to ride. At least until the part where it pivots between the bike and scooter starts to loosen. At first it was a slight wobble, but now there's nothing unimportant about it. We're afraid it might just fail while driving! I reached out to Swagtron directly to ask about a possible fix for this, or at least to provide some steps to fix the issue. Instead, I got the obligatory "We're sorry you're having a problem" message, followed by a message that the warranty has expired. You can send it back for a $60 repair plus all parts for free. Serious?! Why on earth should I pay more to fix it than I paid for it? It is important to note that it was purchased in March 2020 and the problem started 4 months later in July 2020. Two things are clear. Swagtron makes cheap products and they don't want to endorse them. I'm sure others have had a different experience, but this was ours. Updated with a fix I found out not through Swagtron. You will need to remove the scooter skid plate (five screws: one on top, four on the bottom) and remove the handlebars and twist and pull the headset. This will reveal the hex bolt on either side. Tighten just enough so you can still switch from bike to scooter. Put in all the details and go!
