Well these are the most expensive skates I've ever bought or even owned but I'm not sure why the laces don't have hooks Lift yours ankle to secure him extra support, and also to prevent the laces from getting under the wheels. Another thing I noticed is the stiff ankle support that doesn't move at all which makes it difficult to skate when I always had to bend it back a little bit to make the skate fit and work better for me. Also, the brake is complete rubbish the moment you use it, it rubs right away, not to mention it's not adjustable to make up for the lack of durability, so I try my best not to use it. The rest is OK. I bought bigger wheels than ever so I'm not sure if that has anything to do with my riding issues but I definitely don't think they're worth the money.
