Suunto forces you to use their website to get data from the watch. I don't know why they do it. I think it was a silly idea because it made a lot of people I know switch to Garmin. If the website isn't available, you're stuck. The files stay on the watch, but you can't download them directly to your computer without going there first. This year the site has already been down twice (and that was only in March) for more than a day each time. I found a workaround, but it's a bit painful. A good side to this is that it made me less concerned with the data, but that defeats the purpose of the watch!
