It's so easy to mold it's not even funny. I usually use ABG mix, but when setting up a new tank I wanted to try it. I mixed peat moss and coco coir, but despite my attempts to rake it about 3 times a week, it still came out very compact. I had to dismantle the whole tank, buy a new substrate, a new drainage layer and new wood to keep my little honeycomb from getting a respiratory infection. Just buy an ABG mix and stay away from it all! It will cost you much more than just a bag!
