Review on 🔌 Allegro USB 3.0 PCIe 4-Port - Enhanced Compatibility for Mac and Windows by Jim Dahl

I bought this for my 2012 Mac Pro about 7 months ago and it worked fine until recently when it started doing the same thing as a another reviewer reported: When my Mac goes to sleep, all drives attached to it are unmounted. And it seems to turn on and off many times during the night while sleeping. I wake up with six notifications each that 4 hard drives have been incorrectly disabled. This is very disappointing as these drives are used for backups and some of them contain operating systems. This usually messes up the drive's directory and it then has to be restored with DiskWarrior and I have to spend quite a bit of time verifying that the backup was successful. I cannot recommend this Sonnet product although I have been happy with many of their other products over the years. I would return it if I could and even now I would buy the Pro version if I thought it wouldn't have the same problem.
