A good helper in the kitchen. When slicing the carrots, I had to remove the carrots a few times, but it's still not that much work compared to slicing by hand with a knife. The peeler has very sharp blades, so use it carefully until you can glide over even the toughest pumpkin skins. I wish the handle was a little heavier, but it's a lot better than those cheap things that break after a few uses. It has an Italian sounding name but unfortunately it's still made in China so I removed the asterisk - I prefer the Italian engineering but it still looks like it'll survive me. Some reviewers complained that it clogged, but I found that a quick, vigorous shake in dishwater loosened anything that was stuck, washed out, and continued to flake. Some reviewers say it cuts too thick and wastes veggies, but I've found that if you pull the blade toward you at a slight angle and use your thumb to adjust the slicing action, it peels pretty close. A nice addition to our kitchen for the price.
