Excellent belt. The carbon buckle is really beautiful and fashionable. To fasten a belt, push a small spring-loaded button on the buckle and pull the strap through the buckle. The webbing material is quite strong and tough so it is not difficult to stretch. Once it pops up on the opposite side of the buckle, you can simply pull it out and tighten to your desired tightness. Very easy. There is an extremely effective ratchet in the belt buckle, which prevents the belt from slipping off after it has been closed. If you wish to remove the strap, press down on the small spring-loaded handle again and pull the strap out of the buckle. I agree that the strap's material doesn't stretch as easily, but seems to offer the level of springiness needed for comfort without sacrificing fit. If you wish to shorten the length of the strap, the end attached to the buckle can be removed by lifting the small cam lever (with built in teeth) that holds it in place. This means that you don't cut off the end of the belt that is visible from the outside, but the end that is hidden inside the belt buckle. There is a built in belt loop (see photo) made from the same (but not the same) material as the belt. This serves to fix the end of the belt if it does not reach the belt loop of the pants. Definitely recommend this belt if you want to add style to your jeans or khakis! After all, I did not receive any compensation for my review. PS: My white shirt was dirty from some work, which I didn't realize until I looked at the photo. LAUGH OUT LOUD.
