I wanted to cut a hole in the granite counter top of the kitchen island for a reverse osmosis system that I bought. I first tried to find a "professional" for this, every offer I got was $150 and up. I couldn't understand why a damn hole could cost so much. I posted "how to drill a faucet hole in granite" on YouTube and thought it might be a DIY project. Finding these diamond bits was best for less than $12. You get 5 pieces and they cut granite like butter. Anyone thinking of cutting a 1/2 inch hole in granite can easily do it with these bits and a regular drill bit. Start at an angle to start the groove and then straighten the drill and allow the drill to grind. This nozzle is only about 1.25 inches deep from the handle, so if your granite is thicker it won't fit.
