Bought based on reviews. Don't believe everything you read. I use a USB Y-cable to provide additional power from the two USB ports on my laptop since there is no external power supply. The connection keeps dropping when I only have the mouse receiver and a 2.5" external hard drive. The mouse is erratic and the hard disk connection drops intermittently, causing large disk read/write operations to fail with no error messages from Windows. I can't imagine what would happen if all 4 ports on the hub were used.
