They are very cool. I bought two, one for me and my wife. They are pretty close to the same reading. Usually a degree F or two. I've run them in the dishwasher and in the fridge for min. max. Both had very similar readings, so I'm glad I used them to test the water in our kettle, the water from our hot water tap , red meat, chicken etc. to test. I will also use it to measure ambient temperature in the garage and at work, under running water the temperature adjusts faster than outdoors, but that's to be expected, it's enough for my needs. the evidence is excellent. If they made them shockproof then they would be perfect. But I still give them 5 stars.
