If you're like millions of other Tahoe owners, you too have a stuck lift or that pesky extra latch that prevents you from lowering the spare tire when you need it. I have no idea what GM was thinking when they designed it, apparently the engineers never had a flat tire. On the other hand, it was the perfect solution. This is the best design and it fits perfectly (if you remove the old rusty one). Unfortunately, it doesn't come with a mounting screw, which I think should have been included for an extra dollar or two. I filled the cable winch with bearing grease before installing it and will practice it every time I change the oil and lubricate it if necessary. once a year. No more getting caught with a stuck roadside spare tire lift!
