Please note that the nominal size is the size of the opening, not the outside diameter of the hatch. I ordered a 6" hatch and needed a 6-1/2" hole in my kayak. No screws were included so I used #10 stainless steel screws. Also, the gasket is a fairly thin piece of foam rather than an actual o-ring, so I don't expect it to last very long. The rest is OK. In the absence of mounting screws and a real O-ring, I remove the star.
