The 8 inch fits my Sun Dolphin perfectly. Be sure to read other reviews for correct sizes. I like this factory better, it just glides a lot better. I had to reuse the original hardware and seal from the old sunroof because it wasn't there, which wasn't a problem in my case.

Used this to drill a hole in my heater so I can remove any leaves and debris that gets in there. There are so many uses for these things, from extra crates, secret stashes, using a boat, etc. Of course, seals are awesome. Delivery without fastening screws. I really like this hatch, easy to install with silicone and some kayak rivets. Looks pretty waterproof and has withstood hose blasting without leaking. It can get a little tight to open when the temperature fluctuates, but that's the nature of this type of sunroof. I have no regrets about this purchase and I love the way it looks!

Good quality product. They are definitely very durable. I use them as a hood vent on a Jeep Cherokee. They are difficult to open due to cyclic heating and vibration, but this does not serve their intended purpose. They seal very well so dirt doesn't get into the engine compartment when they're closed. In general I am satisfied with the result. I have no doubt that they work perfectly for their intended purpose.

Please note that the nominal size is the size of the opening, not the outside diameter of the hatch. I ordered a 6" hatch and needed a 6-1/2" hole in my kayak. No screws were included so I used #10 stainless steel screws. Also, the gasket is a fairly thin piece of foam rather than an actual o-ring, so I don't expect it to last very long. The rest is OK. In the absence of mounting screws and a real O-ring, I remove the star.

This hatch provided ample space to access the interior of my small boat for wiring projects. I used the inside diameter of the manhole to mark the access hole and then enlarged it by 1/5th. The result is a perfect fit. The lid closes tightly and I've made it waterproof by applying some silicone to the outer ring and stainless steel screws. I need to make some 4 inch hatches to access the rear battery compartment. Good thing.

I ordered this board knowing it might be a bit smaller than the original. My suspicions were confirmed when I received it, but that didn't stop me from installing it. I used the original hardware and reused both the screws and the gasket as this item does not come with it. To get it working, I had to angle the screws out slightly, line them up with the original holes, and slowly tighten each of the six a little at a time. Went like clockwork!

The new outer ring is the same size as the original ring, but the screw holes are not exactly in place. However, I kept turning it and eventually found that the 4 holes aligned almost perfectly and the other 2 were close enough. I was hoping to just take the cap off the new ring and fit the old ring, but the old hole in the rim is larger so the cap can't be screwed in. Rather fail!
