the product looks like the picture, the fabric is a bit thin but not bad. About the size: I am a 5'7 125lb female and I wear a large size, I find a medium would be better, but since I wear yoga pants I think it will be ok. haven't tried it yet. I'll update the post and let you know how shock-absorbing it is :)
