Review on 🚪 Andersen¨ Tribeca Style - Gliding Door Thumb Latch: Sleek White Color by Antonio Edan

Perfect OEM replacement for my sliding door thumb latch lock that was "loosening" on the inside after ten years of repeated daily use. It literally took two minutes to remove the old one and replace it with the new one. I hope this lasts another ten years :) UPDATE: I had to buy more original parts about every 15-24 months. They're relatively inexpensive and easy to install, so it's not a big deal, but the metal "insides" feel a little "softer" and the mechanism loosens with frequent 365/24/7 daily use, as we like it let dog go for a few walks once a day. Based on this fact, I suspect this metal fatigue issue occurs between 2500-3000 uses of the thumb latch which is used to ensure my sliding door is snug against the door frame/against the door frame to ensure a tight seal. The metal fatigue issue is gradual and will indicate when I need to start making small adjustments to the door latch mechanism so using this thumb latch will ensure a tight fit on the gasket. So I now have a new spare in the kitchen drawer next to that sliding door for quick repairs if needed. I have lowered my product rating from 5 stars to 4 stars to reflect the above. Having said that, this is still the best product if you have an Andersen sliding door like this one. Just have a spare thumb bar handy and you're good to go.
