Review on Wi-Fi adapter D-link DWA-140, black by Mateusz Odachowski ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Everything is fine, there are only minor drawbacks.

I want to express my gratitude to the people who leave not only positive reviews on the Internet, but also negative ones with the proposed troubleshooting methods for this, at the moment, wonderful (two days ago it was not such) device (dwa-140). Situation: DWA-140 adapter cannot findcomnnection with DIR-615 WiFi router. How to fix it on Windows 7, 32bit: 1. If you have installed drivers and software from the disk supplied with the device, commpletely remove them. 2. . Php - take the latest drivers from the page that opens via this link (we used PCI / mPCI / CB (RT2860 / RT2760 / RT2890 / RT2790 / RT306X / RT309X / RT35X2) from probably 01/01/2022) and install them without the suggested software (we installed without) 3. Follow this path "Control Panel \Network and Internet \Network and Sharing Center" then "change adapter settings" in the window that opens, find the label "WirelessNetworkConnection" then enter its properties: tab "network" section "markedcommponents are used by thiscomnnection" DISABLE (uncheck), if available, "Kaspersky Antu-Virus NDIS 6 Filter" and "ANODNetwork Security Filter driver". On Windows 7, 32bit, we got out of a difficult situation.

Pros
  • Many refer to the price, others to the appearance, still others to the signal strength and they are probably not mistaken. I prefer a convenient USB extension.
Cons
  • Convulsively flickering light deode on the adapter. A sure chance to run into problems installing the device.
