1989 Honda Civic exhaust did not fit perfectly because the end of the flange was tapered on the original and this part was not (so it did not fit flush and leaked through a small gap). I had to buy a $7 gasket from NAPA to fix this problem. Even so, it still leaks a little, but not much.
