Definitely high quality canvas at an affordable price. When planning images larger than 12" x 16", I overwhelmed myself and have already built several images in 12" x 30", 18" x 30", and even 18" x 48". . The canvas is durable and smooth, definitely better than the level 1 or 2 canvas you can buy at Michael's or JoAnn. The foundation is also subtle and fairly white. I'm very picky though and the reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I don't want to additionally prime my canvas (which I'm used to with any type these days). However, I think this is not a problem for most artists. So if you are a portrait painter and usually like to work with ultra smooth and white surfaces, prepare yourself for another primer, otherwise you should be fine for most paintings like landscapes or abstracts.
