Good and Bad - didn't work for me but should work for you

This is a harsh review as the product didn't work for me but it is a good product. The siphon works very well, is very light and is made of high quality materials. The hose is of excellent quality and very flexible. That's the problem I'm facing. The hose is so flexible that I couldn't get it into the tank. It just curls up like it's trying to push a limp piece of spaghetti, but it doesn't. My first assignment was in my daughter's car so I could work at the gas pump. I understand that this is a model of strength equipment and the machine has lagged behind a bit. It didn't work, try and try, but the hose just isn't the design to get to the tank. At best, he curled up like a coiled snake. Never got near gas. I wish there was more of this tubing at the end of the hose, that would work better. Fine, no car. Then I tried on our UTV, which is a vintage amphibious model from the '80s. Faced with similar problems, this tank has a turn of refueling gasoline into the tank. The rigid hose dropped easily, but once we got to the flexible hose it was nearly impossible to pull any further. Work a little, pushing the bar another half inch. nope Next my tug was behind the mower, you can stick your finger in the gas under the cover. Wow that was easy and this siphon finally worked. It worked well, not too fast, and it didn't flow continuously downhill either, but it worked when the bulb was inflated. Not fast, but it was easy enough and worked well. If the hose was stiffer, or had a stiffer tube at the end, it would be a more versatile product. As such it works well for gas tanks with gas just under the lid or perfectly straight tank shots. This super-flexible, spaghetti-style wet hose just kills it for a lot of jobs. For power gear, this has worked well for me. So, there are good and bad with this product. I was looking at a more expensive siphon model from the same company but it looks like it has a lot of flexible hoses again, probably with the same problem.
