This review is about the DEWALT DCV517B Bare Tool, sometimes Amazon combines several options. It does not come with batteries but uses lithium ion batteries max 20V. This is not like the larger Dewalt vacuum cleaner, it is battery only and cannot be plugged in to work. It has 2 filters, a cylindrical HEPA filter and a small disc filter. Disc filter N445843 HEPA filter N445836 It doesn't have the suction power of a shop vacuum or your typical 120 volt vacuum, this is a small compact handheld vacuum that's great for small jobs. when it hurts to dig up the vacuum cleaner and cord. If it's a big mess, it won't work very well. The suction hose can be pulled out of the nozzle, so has a flexible hose for accessing those hard-to-reach places, but the hose is short. There is a lip at the top of the filter that catches dirt when you try to empty the bin. Not much dirt remains in the groove, but that's a minor inconvenience. I like this little vacuum for what it is, a lightweight little vacuum for small jobs. You can use !.25 inch bits on it.
