You may be wondering. Several reviewers complain that they can't get the drive to spin up due to an enterprise feature that leaves the drive offline until its enclosure allows it to spin up. I had no problems with it on my QNAP NAS, although I wouldn't use it on a desktop. It immediately flipped over and started rebuilding my array. I'm replacing 8TB WD Gold drives that I bought a few years ago to increase capacity. These drives are physically identical to my old ones. That definitely inspires trust. Another reviewer complaint is that these discs are out of warranty. This is not true, these reviewers are unfamiliar with how the warranty is usually given on devices built for corporate use. The manufacturer supplies replacement plates, but not directly to the buyer. They must be purchased from an authorized reseller and the reseller will provide a warranty replacement. If you buy these and you care about the warranty, you should check whether the WD dealer is authorized or not before you buy. Some vendors sell these drives pretty cheap for what they are. I suspect that many of them are not authorized resellers and are basically selling them cheap because you lose the warranty option if you buy from them.
