Bought this extractor trying to figure out the instruction manual with the product in front of me. You would swear that whoever is writing this guide is looking at a completely different product than the one he claims to be writing about. For example, there's no mention of a large nut bolted to the top of the main unit, let alone what it's intended for. They assume this has to do with the main intake pipe fitting and common sense dictates that the nut should go behind the main pipe fitting rather than in front (so that it disconnects the main hose fitting from the unit when submerged). vacuum - as I learned from the responses to customer comments, not the instructions).
