Review on πŸ”§ OEMTOOLS 24389 Manual Fluid Extractor (5.3L) - Efficient Oil & Transmission Fluid Pump for Easy Oil Changes by Robert Layne

Why don't Chinese manufacturers (and their sellers) understand this?

Bought this extractor trying to figure out the instruction manual with the product in front of me. You would swear that whoever is writing this guide is looking at a completely different product than the one he claims to be writing about. For example, there's no mention of a large nut bolted to the top of the main unit, let alone what it's intended for. They assume this has to do with the main intake pipe fitting and common sense dictates that the nut should go behind the main pipe fitting rather than in front (so that it disconnects the main hose fitting from the unit when submerged). vacuum - as I learned from the responses to customer comments, not the instructions). There is also no mention of a small vacuum plug (attached to the block with a short chain) and what is it for? There are three more holes next to the vacuum plug, one of which is closed, the other two are open, but the instructions don't show what these holes are for? It doesn't mention what this product can't do, such as many customer questions imply that this product doesn't siphon the used oil from the tank into another container or containers so that you can send the used oil for recycling. Center. In the end, you yourself understand that you have to transfer the used oil to other containers (e.g. the ones that come with new oil) or carry the entire tank to the center to have it emptied for you. In short the instructions are terrible when you are looking for help to understand a product and end up getting so frustrated you just want to return the item! You've done 99 percent of the work, but the last percent (instructions) is just as important as the 99 percent. At normal engine operating temperature, 8 liters will be poured out in less than 5 minutes. That is, if the length from the top of your vehicle's sound pipe to the bottom of the oil pan is less than 24 inches. This is the length of hose that comes with the kit. Today I tried to drain oil from my SUV but the hose was 18 inches too short! To replace the 4ft pipe you will need to pull out the existing one, which is not possible without cutting the steel ring around the pipe mount to lighten the 2ft pipe and replacing it with a 4ft pipe to replace. Some manufacturers like to be smart and stupid. A longer hose would have cost them another 50 cents to transform this product from an eyesore (also note the lack of clear instruction manual above) into an easy to use and versatile tool.
