I bought this device for all of its features. As you'd expect, it runs on disposable batteries, but it works just as well without them! It has an internal battery that can be charged with a built-in solar panel, a handheld generator, or any USB charger (not included). This means you can use the radio without wasting batteries. This is an excellent emergency radio. It's reliable but not heavy. The radio has good sound quality and sensitivity on all three bands (AM, FM and Weather). It comes with a USB cable that fits most cell phone chargers and can be used to charge your device. The device can also supply power to external devices, for example to charge mobile phones. A small note: at first it seemed like it was having trouble charging my Android phone. He started charging it and quickly shut down. After some testing I found that I was trying to do this with a low battery. After I charge the device, it could charge other devices like my cellphone! So it was my fault. My wife used it to charge her iPhone and said she thought it was faster than the Apple charger that came with her phone! In summary, this is a multi-band radio, flashlight, charger and bottle opener that can be powered by batteries. Manual winding or solar energy. All in all, the perfect survival gear. I am happy with my purchase and would buy it again, it checks all my drawers!
